Maddie & Jackie

On Saturday, we celebrated Shawn's birthday a little early and got to enjoy the company of Gina, Jackie and Maddie. They are all so photogenic and of course, I had to get out the camera. The girls and I took a little walk to give their Mama a break and we had the chance to take some surprise pictures for her and grandma. Jackie assured me we needed to take Annie and Timber (the dogs) with us because they would "sniff out the bad things and protect us." She also let me know it was okay to go on a walk with me because "you're not a stranger, you're family." This trip was Gina's first to the airport with the kids and without husband, John. She gave the girls some really good advise that they were kind enough to share with me: if a stranger is trying to be nice to you, he might give you candy but he might be tricking you and if he gets mean you should poke him in the eyes and run!" I think it was great advice and just adorable how she paid so close attention to her mother's words. Below are pictures from our evening together.
