Mama's New Garden

When my parents moved to Clyde five years ago, I felt sad and I'll be honest, betrayed. They didn't understand it and neither did my sister. They all thought I was just being selfish and they had the right to move. Well they did have the right but I wasn't being selfish. The home they sold was mine, too. Or at least it was for a long time and I was going to miss having it to go home to.

What I've learned in the last week since Mama and Daddy have moved back to Mills River is that the house they sold wasn't really "home" - they were! I am so happy to have them back over here where I can drop by any time I want - at least I'm pretty sure they don't mind :)

The flowers in the photo are from my mother's new garden at her new house. She picked them today and sent them to me via Amanda. I hope this garden will give her many hours of joy. I know the spring bouquet left on my window sill has
