Old Teneriffe - Historic Flat Rock Tour of Homes

These are photos I took at Historic Flat Rock's Tour of Homes Kick-off Party. The estate is called Old Teneriffe and is described by Louise Bailey as, "Thriving today inside the rolling-hills development off Little River Road, the house was built by Dr. J.G. Schoolbred in 1852. The home, recently on the Historic Flat Rock tour of homes, was originally built in a gothic style. After the Civil War, new owners remodeled it in a blend of neoclassicism and Tudor architecture. Marvin and Helen Seibold, formerly of Minneapolis, now own the elegant home, which until recently was operated as a bed-and-breakfast."

A beautiful arrangement of flowers, picked mostly from the
grounds of the estate, serves as a centerpiece
