Gullah Tour of Philip Simmons Ironworks

Amanda and I really enjoyed hearing about Philip Simmons on the Gullah Tours. Alphonso Brown was a great storyteller who taught us lots of new Gullah words. Man do they talk fast! I highly recommend his tour next time you are in Charleston. Amanda took the top photo of all the Gullah ladies' hats in the Chuama Gallery where we waited for the tour to begin.
